Martian...
I just finished my first squad of Martians from Mantic Games Mars Attacks.
They are a joy to paint. There are some mould lines, but not too bad, and besides, these are squaddies, not single heroes. For the character models, I'll spend more time on the cleaning and prep.
The have all been given a plain grey base for now. Once I get the whole lot painted I will find the most suitable paint to match the game mat and do them all in one go.
...and a giveaway:Paul over at Endtransmission Wargaming (http://mythostransmissions.blogspot.se/2014/12/whats-in-box-what-box.html) is holding a giveaway. Go sign up for a shot at a belate Christmas gift.
Love the fish tank type helmets. Will look out for more of this project

There is plenty more to come. 20 more grunts, 5 Marines, 5 Recon, 10 Science Divison, plus characters. I am really looking forward to painting these.
RaderaOh well done, I love them - must get on with mine!
SvaraRaderaYou must indeed. Have you played the game yet?
RaderaIt was a treat to be able to play with them yesterday evening. And we showed the puny humans that being painted is the way to win. Ha, their sorry unpainted asses were kicked good!
SvaraRaderaExcept we did not actually achieve any of our objectives, nor did we win. But we kicked ass and we looked good doing it!
RaderaWell, we didn't loose either! We would surely have won if we could have finished the game. And we sure killed a lot of human grunts. Every one of them, in fact. Way to go, Martians!
RaderaBut we ended up with the only christmas present, so we won! But you died looking better than we did.
RaderaWe might not have won but we sure wrecked Christmas and to a Martian, that is a moral victory.
RaderaYou sure found a lot of kittens too!
SvaraRaderaFun looking miniatures. Well done.
